Mullets for Miles
We are proud to share that the Mullets for Miles Event and Contest raised a total of $53,717.00 for our MJRF Champions Program! We are beyond grateful for the Mullets for Miles community that came together to make this event possible. To our donors, thank you for supporting all of the boys who advocated for mental well-being and suicide prevention with their mullet; your love and support blew us away! To the Hair Spot and Jolly Pumpkin of Ann Arbor, thank you for hosting this event and making the mullet vision come alive. We are eternally grateful for you.
NOW TO MR. MULLET 2024 WHO RAISED A TOTAL OF $19,755… JUDE CARLSON! Jude came to us with a vision and hope to create Mullets for Miles, and without knowing what would come, he inspired others, created a super successful event and did so while empowering the community to support mental well-being and suicide prevention. We have been moved by Jude’s ambition and support as a youth athlete. A word from Jude: “When I started this event, my thought was that we would raise around $10,000 in total. I never imagined how successful this would be in its first year. I want to thank everyone who donated to me and any of the other participants. A HUGE thanks to Linda Wilke and the Gensheimer family! Their generous contributions allowed for the fundraiser to raise over $50,000!”
AGAIN, we want to thank EVERYONE who helped to make this event a success. We had a blast!
Thank You

After doing a similar fundraiser for cancer research my whole life, I felt I wanted to direct my efforts towards something more personal. I have dealt with my own personal mental health struggles and starting this fundraiser has given me an opportunity to help my community while also making me a better person at the same time.

I’m excited to participate in Mullets for Miles because it’s about more than just rocking an awesome haircut; we’re helping start conversations that are tragically rare. Too many suffer in silence — there should be no shame in talking about our personal battles.
Stuart Knight
Raised $640
I believe that it shouldn’t be irregular to talk about mental health issues. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and it deserves far more attention than what it is given.
